Overview

You will visit three amazing destinations in one day. Hobbiton which is perfect for anyone looking to add a little fantasy to their holiday. This tour will bring you to the movie set in Hobbiton, where you will be swept away into the world of The Hobbit. After that you will travel to Rotorua and spend approximately 1.5 hours while enjoying a cafe lunch and visiting the Thermal Valley at Te Puia.

Please note that this is a very short time in Rotorua and if you want more time please book an overnight tour or Waitomo or Hobbiton on a separate day. After leaving Rotorua, we travel to Waitomo to visit the Waitomo Caves. The tours at both Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves are of a set duration and are not shortened. This tour is flexible with options to to start or finish in Auckland or Rotorua.

Join the 2 hour Bus and walking tour at Hobbiton run by a local guide - you will rejoin our coach and guide at the Green Dragon to travel to your next destination

Te Puia

After this tour you will travel to Rotorua (approximately 55 minutes) to Te Puia where you will have a lunch From the restaurant you will have great views of the thermal valley and geysers

It is important to note that Te Puia is now introducing a fabulous new product – This is a 90 minute guided tour of the cultural and thermal areas and are not allowing unguided entry into the Reserve. There is not enough time to include the tour in this programme. You will get great views of the geyser and thermal valley from the restaurant and a good photo opportunity. We will now include a tour of other key areas of Rotorua such as the lakefront, government gardens previously not seen on the HF3 tour

There is no longer an opportunity for you to quickly explore on your own

If you wish to spend time in Te Puia and join a guided tour you will need to book an over night tour or 2 separate day tours to give more time in Rotorua
